JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for achieving planned sales goals and to keep management informed of problems and opportunities as well as area requirements of their areas.
  • Supervises Sales Representatives and other field personnel in sustaining and improving Filstar products competitive position and in handling particular problems related to competition.
  • Responsible in ensuring the achievement of assigned targets.
  • Able to establish priorities and completion duty of sales expansion and projects.
  • Ensures that immediate actions are executed if there are customers complaints.
  • Able to develop and recommend strategies to meet present and future requirements in his/her area of responsibility.
  • Prepare sales budget for his/her area and operate in their approved budget allocation.
  • Evaluates senior sales representative in the performance of their duties and discuss with their potential problem areas and direct their attention accordingly.
  • Evaluates over-all performance of assigned area by category by key accounts on retail objectives and improvements or shortfalls, distribution by accounts.
  • Responsible for communicating , review of all personnel under his/her supervision , to the Assistant Vice President.
  • Develops specific improvement and development programs for each individual territory.
  • Take recommendatory action where and when required on termination, promotions, transfer and re assignments.
  • Make recommendations on each matter pertaining to product quality, saleability, and non saleability.
  • Monitors competitive activities and suggest counter measures.
  • Develops effective working relations with other departments so as to take advantage of their assistance to achieve sales goal , reduce expenses and effectively carry out sales programs.

JOB QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's Degree graduate of any course
  • Minimum number of work experience: 3 years.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills; Excellent leadership skills
  • Familiar with geographical locations.
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent time Management and problem-solving skills;

Filstar Distributors Corporation was established in the Philippines in 1993 and is one of the pioneers in the sales and distribution industry.

The company maintains the prestige of being the exclusive licensee of Hallmark Cards, U.S.A. In addition, Filstar acquired the exclusive distributorship of BiC Writing Instruments from France in 2001. And to add to its family of balloon products, it acquired the exclusive distributorship of Events Balloons from Malaysia in 2003. Since then, the company has grown into a portfolio of innovative tools in arts, crafts, and creative supplies.

In 2003,the company was the first to introduce scrapbooking in the Philippines, creating the brand All About Scrapbooking. Sub-brands include Craftin` & Scrappin`, a collection of scrapbook embellishments and accessories; Simply Handmade, an array of scrapbook materials made from indigenous materials like abaca, banana leaf, and coconut husk. Later in 2013, Filstar introduced Craft Easy, a full line of arts and crafts supplies complete with paper sheets, stickers, frames, journaling stickers, and other crafting accessories. Their locally-created brands also include: Celebration Balloons, Wrapsody ??a line of high-end quality gift wrap paper with special effects, and Wrap 'Em Up ??ribbons and quick gift wrapping ideas.

In 2012, the company acquired Disney Art Attack ?a unique and inspirational arts and craft brand designed to spark imagination and creativity in children aged 5-8. In addition, a select product line of art tools from Crayola, Scentco Inc., and Pronto were also introduced in the market.

In 2013, Filstar partnership with Bic expanded into the distribution of BiC Lighters and BiC Shavers.

Filstar prides itself in having varied channels of distribution reaching over 5,822 in the Philippines with majority of its products available at bookstores, supermarkets, drugstores, convenience stores, department stores, hypermarts and variety stores.
