Filstar Distributors Corporation was established in the Philippines in 1993 and is one of the pioneers in the sales and distribution industry.
The company maintains the prestige of being the exclusive licensee of Hallmark Cards, U.S.A. In addition, Filstar acquired the exclusive distributorship of BiC Writing Instruments from France in 2001. And to add to its family of balloon products, it acquired the exclusive distributorship of Events Balloons from Malaysia in 2003. Since then, the company has grown into a portfolio of innovative tools in arts, crafts, and creative supplies.
In 2003,the company was the first to introduce scrapbooking in the Philippines, creating the brand All About Scrapbooking. Sub-brands include Craftin` & Scrappin`, a collection of scrapbook embellishments and accessories; Simply Handmade, an array of scrapbook materials made from indigenous materials like abaca, banana leaf, and coconut husk. Later in 2013, Filstar introduced Craft Easy, a full line of arts and crafts supplies complete with paper sheets, stickers, frames, journaling stickers, and other crafting accessories. Their locally-created brands also include: Celebration Balloons, Wrapsody ??a line of high-end quality gift wrap paper with special effects, and Wrap 'Em Up ??ribbons and quick gift wrapping ideas.
In 2012, the company acquired Disney Art Attack ?a unique and inspirational arts and craft brand designed to spark imagination and creativity in children aged 5-8. In addition, a select product line of art tools from Crayola, Scentco Inc., and Pronto were also introduced in the market.
In 2013, Filstar partnership with Bic expanded into the distribution of BiC Lighters and BiC Shavers.
Filstar prides itself in having varied channels of distribution reaching over 5,822 in the Philippines with majority of its products available at bookstores, supermarkets, drugstores, convenience stores, department stores, hypermarts and variety stores.
