ACCOUNTING & FINANCE MANAGER - CPA for HERBS & SPICES INDUSTRY/Salary: 40,000 - 60,000/BRGY. ZAPATERA, CEBU
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial records, ensuring the accounts and reports are finalized within a set deadline and according to the Company’s accounting regulations, implementing financial systems, and preparing documents for external auditors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the whole accounting operations from receipts to disbursements and payroll
- Developing a company’s financial and accounting policies, workflows, and methods
- Developing, managing, and mentoring the finance team
- Auditing accounts to ensure they comply with the company’s policy regulations and other regulatory requirements
- Preparing all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and financial reports and other documents needed by the management and the company’s external auditors
- Evaluating the company’s financial transactions to ensure strict compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Prepares/Reviews all tax returns and supervises the timely and accurate payment
- Reviewing financial statements to pinpoint possible fraud and errors
- Assist in/supervise the preparation of journals, and account reconciliations especially bank and inventory reconciliations
JOB QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
- Certified Public Account (CPA) with at least 5 years of experience specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting, or experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager or any relevant capacity
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Adept with computers, and mobile devices and proficient in using productivity tools and email
- MUST know how to use Quickbooks Online and other accounting software and ERPs
- Advanced Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, vLookups, etc.) and Google Sheet skills in building complex financial models and experience with using planning systems
- Previous background in the importation, distribution, retail, or manufacturing industry is a plus
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Very good presentation skills
