THE ROLE:
Focus on supporting the transformation of payroll processes and structures, drive best practice payroll policies and procedures and assist with the implementation of a new payroll software solution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide day to day management of the payroll function, fortnightly and monthly payruns
• Ensure timely communication and resolution of pay queries
• Assist with reviews and audits of employee data to ensure accuracy of payroll master data, such as employment type, pay rates etc
• Support with the development of project plans, market research and selection of a new payroll solutions
• Support with parallel payrun design and testing
• Assist with the implementation of a selected new payroll solution, including data cleansing, setup of pay item rules/calculations, working collaboratively with external supplier consultants and internal stakeholders
• Assist with the review and redesign of time and attendance data used in payroll processes and help drive continuous improvement opportunities that provide improved time and attendance data quality
• Contribute to the development of business payroll reporting needs and analysis
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with Australia payroll system setups and establishing best practice business process (experience with payroll system implementations would be highly regarded)
• Ability to work with manual processes and multiple data sources.
• Solid project management experience with ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills in being able to engage and communicate across internal and external stakeholders. • Exhibits high attention to detail.
