DESCRIPTION:
Shall provide leadership and direction to the team performing general accounting
tasks including monthly close activities, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
This role’s primary responsibility will be overseeing the day-to-day general
accounting functions of a specific section. Shall supervise work assignments and
evaluate staff performance on these tasks;
Ensure that staff have necessary training and education to perform tasks.
Shall review and approve complex financial transactions, investigate and resolve
issues, and perform analysis that is used in the compilation of statutory and
regulatory financial reports required to be filed in the various jurisdictions in which
the company operates.
Shall Identify and recommend necessary changes in financial policies and
procedures to optimize performance.
Basic Qualifications:
1) With a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy. Preferably a Certified Public
Accountant.
2) With at least 3 years of working experience in equivalent capacity, preferably with
2 years supervisory/managerial experience in Accounting and Finance
3) Exemplary leadership and mentoring skills
4) Excellent interpersonal skills
5) Proficiency in using computers and software 6) In-depth knowledge of accounting
systems and applications
