Lyric Piano started in 1960, and it is headed by Mr. Severo N. Panganiban, now the Chairman of the Board.
Lyric started as a supplier of parts and accessories to piano manufacturers. In 1968, the company started manufacturing pianos for the domestic market. In 1975, Lyric started exporting pianos.
The product lines of the company consisted of pianos and various musical instruments. Lyric manufactured pianos under its own brand and label: Lyric Traditional, Lyric International, Lyric Modern, Lyric Elegante, Eisenberg, Osaki and Kinsberg. Lyric also carried a wide variety and models of Lyric guitars, violins, cellos, keyboard, and more.
In order to meet the local demand for imported pianos, Lyric acquired the distributorship of Korean-made Samick and the American-made Kohler & Campbell pianos. Wurlitzer and Baldwin pianos from U.S.A. were also soon acquired. In 1998, Lyric assumed the exclusive local distributorship of Boston and Steinway & Sons pianos. Lyric also carried the exclusive distributorship of the most advanced piano player, Piano Disc.
Lyric, though famous for its piano heritage, recently expanded to becoming a full line music store as they claimed exclusive distributorship of instrument brands which originated from different parts of the world. Brands such as ESP (Japan), Blackstar Amplification (England), DW Drums (USA), Nord (Sweden), Meinl (Germany) are a few of the relatively new acquisitions of the company.
Lyric now has 31 branches across the Philippines and is still expanding across the country. We have dedicated ourselves to ensure that each and every musician will know that in order to get the best quality equipment and service, Lyric can deliver like no other! With Lyric, Own Your Music!
