Job brief

We are looking for an HR Specialist to join our team and monitor all Human Resources functions.

HR Specialist responsibilities include setting up company policies and maintaining updated employee records. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of full cycle recruiting and solid knowledge of labor legislation.

Ultimately, you will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring our HR procedures run smoothly at all times.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End recruitment process
  • Plan quarterly and annual performance review sessions
  • Inform employees about additional benefits they’re eligible for (e.g extra vacation days)
  • Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
  • Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records
  • Forecast hiring needs and ensure recruitment process runs smoothly
  • Develop and implement HR policies throughout the organization
  • Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
  • Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation

JOB QUALIFICATION

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process
  • Familiarity with full cycle recruiting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Team management skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Human Resources or Psychology

Who we are?

Sehwani Group of Companies (SGC) is the mother company of Sehwani Manpower Corporation International (SMCI). It has been in the Philippines for over sixty years.  The company was founded in the 1950’s when its main business was in the garment industry.  SGC then diversified in the 1970’s by adding various business interests such as restaurants, insurance, real estate and manpower.  

In 1997, Sehwani Manpower Corporation International (SMCI) was formally launched and has been in the business of filling the needs of employers for over 20 years .  We have workers of all backgrounds and  experience levels,from executives secretaries and administrative staff to promotional/fashion consultants to warehouse clerks to waiters/crew and cashiers. We match your needs and will send the right people to complete the tasks you want to accomplish. SMCI employees are our employees and we take care of them.

At present, we have total workforce of over 1,500 people deployed nationwide in different companies.  In view of the International demand for skilled and qualified workers, SMCI applied for an international license with POEA (Philippine Overseas Employment Administration.  At present, SMCI is sending workers for employment to the Middle East and other countries.

For local and international transactions, SMCI equipped with the latest computer reference system, enabling us to cross reference applicant’s data with the customer’s requirements.  The relevant data can then be dispatched via the internet by sending all resumes and communication by e-mail in a quick and systematic manner.  We are studying the possibilities of further improving its services to include video conferencing for interviews.

SMCI is accredited with DOLE and a legitimate contractor with D.O. 174 license

 

Where we are

Sehwani Manpower Corporation International holds its office to a 2000 square meters building privately owned by the company wherein SMCI occupies over 300 square meters dedicated to its manpower operations, which include orientation, training and testing rooms.

What do we do?

SMCI does project, contract staffing and permanent placement for the full range of employees, from administrative and industrial to professionals in IT, engineering and management, retail, manufacturing, food and beverage.  We also provide outsourcing, consulting, and other HR services. We act as a link between the employers and the job seekers and ensure the placement of right candidates at the right place at the right time. Using and following the right recruitment processes can facilitate the selection of the best candidates for the organization.

Within the Philippines, where complex labor legislation exists, the supply of contract staff is covered by DOLE - D.O 174 regulation. In order to provide clients with options and flexibility in the market, we have developed and deliver a unique range of services, which protect our clients from co-employment claims or actions taken by staff under labor only contracting regulations.

Temporary staffing solutions

SMCI is responsible for all sourcing, screening and hiring activity, with the employees being under the employment and management of SMCI until they have completed the probation   period.

 

Project and seasonal contract staff

SMCI can supply staff for fixed-term special projects or seasonal needs.

Outsourcing work or operations

Is the contracting out of a business process, which an organization may have previously performed internally or has a new need for, to an independent organization from which the process  is purchased back as service.  SMCI can developed and deliver a tailored fit outsourced solution for delivering the work t be agreed with the client.

 

Executive search and permanent staffing services

SMCI will identify, assess and recruit corporate officers, executive and the other senior level management positions and will be paid in contingency basis.
