JOB DESCRIPTION

HR Payroll is a crucial role within any organization that involves managing the financial aspects of employee compensation and benefits. The job responsibilities of an HR Payroll professional can vary depending on the size and structure of the organization, but typically include the following:

  • Processing Payroll: One of the primary responsibilities of an HR Payroll professional is to manage the entire payroll process. This involves calculating employee paychecks, withholding taxes, and ensuring that all deductions are correctly taken out.
  • Benefits Administration: HR Payroll professionals also manage the administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. They work closely with insurance providers and benefits administrators to ensure that employees are enrolled in the correct benefits and that all premiums are paid on time.
  • Compliance: HR Payroll professionals must ensure that all payroll and benefits activities are in compliance with federal and state regulations, such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
  • Record Keeping: HR Payroll professionals are responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, including attendance, vacation and sick leave, and other payroll-related information. They must ensure that all records are up-to-date and secure.
  • Reporting: HR Payroll professionals also generate reports on payroll and benefits-related data, such as employee hours worked, tax withholding, and benefit enrollment. They use this information to create financial reports and to help management make strategic decisions about compensation and benefits.

JOB QUALIFICATION

  • Master's degree or higher = 1 year of work experience in a professional level HR role.
  • Bachelor's degree = 2 years of work experience in a professional level HR role.
  • Anything less than a bachelor's degree = 4 years of work experience in a professional level HR role.
