• The position is mainly responsible for insurance product development and profitability monitoring, reserves and liability valuations and projections, and insurance process and administration technical support.
• For Product Development these involves insurance model creation, product pricing and repricing, contract drafting, profitability monitoring, and the conduct of technical reports and environmental scanning.
• For Reserves and liability valuations, these involves generation of financial reports on actuarial accounts and reserves and benefits projections and budgeting.
• For insurance process and administration technical support, these involves management of reinsurance accounts, software and program development for actuarial computations, insurance computation support to other offices, system and process review, and preparation and conduct of ad- hoc actuarial and technical management studies.
• He/she also directly coordinates with the Insurance Commission’s Actuarial Division and Examinations Division and External Financial Auditors and External Actuarial Auditors.
• Degree on Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or any Math-related course with minor or subjects in Actuarial Science
• Preferably 3-5 years experienced insurance or actuarial consulting employees specializing in Actuarial Science or equivalent
• Expertise in Insurance Business Processes, Actuarial formulas and computation; High mathematical aptitude
• Expertise in MS Excel, macro programming, and advanced logical formulas including data check, logical statements and mathematical calculation; Knowledge in MS Access, programming and VBA
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, results-oriented
• Keen attention to details; Impressive problem solving, planning and organizing skills
