The Office Engineer of Victor Consunji Development Corporation is in charge of the following:
Responsible for the accurate processing of submittals to ensure the correct products and materials are installed throughout the project. Office Engineer keeps precise and detailed project records. They must organize these records to make it easy for the project manager and other project members to access the appropriate documents. Office engineers manage or set the project budget for the month. Also, responsible for monitoring it to ensure the project stays on track, including checking project plans and drawings to verify authenticity and accuracy. If there are any problems with the budget, the office engineer communicates those problems to the project manager on time. And since the office engineer are involved in all areas of the project, they need to be especially aware of emerging issues. In these instances, office engineer’s liaison between the project manager, subcontractors, and site engineer to resolve problems before they stall the project’s progress.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and update detailed monthly programs,
2. Supervises all aspects of office engineering, including quantity surveying, design coordination, cost and planning/scheduling of the project, accomplishment report vs. plan accomplishment, Weekly presentation of consolidated physical progress report to the management, monthly cost report including expenses, revenues, and budget.
3. Assist Project manager in preparation and monitoring of project cash flow forecast
4. Follow up with site engineers of Contractor and subcontractor to ensure that work is being carried out as per design drawings, specifications & meeting planned dates in schedule; Interact with Project Manager for clarification in design;
5. Daily reporting about progress, non-compliance, delay in work to the Project Manager;
6. Ensure that Communication regarding any changes in the plan have reached the engineers/Contractors and Sub-Contractor’s Representatives;
7. Assist in the quality and safety audit; Identify and highlight possible risks on the project; Assist in necessary project documentation;
8. Accurately inventorying the job site and ensuring that the supplies are appropriately maintained;
9. Support in finalization of Billing Breakups, Bill Certification, etc.;
10. Monitor, evaluate and ensure that all work is being carried out safely;
11. Implement technical and safety requirements for the project.
12. Ensure that the Main Contractor’s HSE plan is being implemented and report all non-conformance to the HSE manager.
13. Attend and review all benchmarking meetings;
14. Ensure construction QA/QC processes are being implemented by the Contractor & sub-contractors;
15. Report any non-conforming work; Identify and report technical queries to field engineering
16. Performs related duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate in BS Civil Engineering or any equivalent
- With or without related work experience.
- Proficient in computer software applications (MS Windows Applications); With above average intellectual ability; Can communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; With good interpersonal relation skills.
- Trustworthy, loyal, dependable, meticulous, and systematic in approach; with extreme patience, persistence, and flexibility in the course of work implementation and the achievement of goals; has a high level of energy and motivation; must be decisive, assertive, and effective in problem-solving; with good moral character and professional integrity.
