JOB DESCRIPTION

 

To conduct, facilitate, testing and coordinate Product development, Supplier Development, Product Improvement, Specification Compilation and Product Development Division Process standardization.

 

Product Development/Supplier development                                                                         

A          Existing Products                                                                                                       

A.1       Search for new suppliers that can supplier cheaper and better quality products                                  

A.2       Evaluate specification of new item and ensure that it is better or same as the existing product             

A.3       Evaluate the capability of new supplier                                                                                  

A.4       Conduct initial costing   to check profitability. Seek approval of Senior Manager                                 

A.5       Request for Sample to evaluate conformance to specification and aesthetic aspect                                 

A.6       Once item is approved for mass ordering:                                                                             

A.6.a Coordinate with SCM for the timing of run-out of existing item                                        

A.6.b Establish internal Item Code and issue Request to Register Item Code to finance (SAP)               

A.6.c Issue "Proceed to Order” Notice to SCM considering the lead-time of the new item                   

A.6.d Approval of packaging design, product manual, rated label and other requirement for new products        

A.6.e Conduct product compliance on the first shipment. (Random 10%)                                              

B          NEW Product                                                                                                             

B.1       Base on Marketing /Sales requirement, conduct product inquiry to existing supplier and/or to new supplier         

B.2       Supplier selection based on product conformance to requirement,  (price, lead time, etc.)

B.3       Evaluate the capability of new supplier                                                                                  

B.4       Conduct initial costing   to check profitability/Material Cost Ratio (MCR). Seek approval of Senior Manager                             

B.5       Request for Sample to evaluate conformance to specification and aesthetic aspect                                 

B.6       Once item is approved for mass ordering:                                                                             

A.6.a Coordinate with Supply Chain the timing of run-out of existing item                                       

A.6.b Establish internal Item Code and issue Request to Register Item Code to finance (SAP) through google form Item Master Data                       

A.6.c Issue "Proceed to Order” Notice to SCM considering the lead-time of the new item. Ordering timing based on management direction                     

A.6.d Review and Approval of packaging design, product manual, rated label and other requirement for new products

A.6.e Conduct product compliance on the first shipment. (Random 10%)                                              

  1. PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT                        
  2. Based on warranty section report, provide feedback to supplier for them to initiate improvement
  3. Closely coordinate with Supplier for the implementation of improvements
  4. PRODUCT SPECIFICATION COMPILATION                                    

A          Prepare specification list to be provided to Marketing (for catalog/brochure)                                           

  1. Proof reading of catalogs/brochures (limited to specification only)

JOB QUALIFICATION

  1. College Graduate (BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
  2. Licensed Engineer is an Advantage
  3. With at least 2 years related work experience
  4. With knowledge on Ref and Aircon System
  5. Computer literate specially Microsoft program
  6. Strong and Analytical Skills
  7. Establish continuous improvement of process
  8. Report Writing
  9. Planning & organizing
  10. Managing work
  11. Can do site visits or field work meetings with suppliers

Under the Sanden Retail Systems Corporation (SDRS) of Japan, SCP was incorporated last August 2019.
