JOB SUMMARY AND KEY JOB RESULTS

QA Software/Application Testers are responsible for the quality of software development and deployment. They are involved in performing manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose. Some of the duties include analysis of software, and systems, mitigate risk and prevent software issues. Develop, apply and maintain test strategies, test plans and test scripts

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze formal test results in order to discover, document and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws

Ensure that new software meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications are met and implemented successfully

Provide reporting and documentation for all testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging, and tracking.

Participate in all stages of software development life cycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, build and packaging, testing (unit test, functional and regression tests, performance tests), deployment, production support, and documentation.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with at least 3 years of related experience.
• In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language like C# or Java
• Proven work experience as a desktop, mobile, or web developer, with at least 3 years of development experience.
• Strong SDLC experience in delivering projects on time with high quality, covering requirements analysis, design, implementation, and unit testing
• Hands on experience and good knowledge about web technology, including HTML, Java Script, REST Web Services, and Tomcat or other web servers.
• Experience with relational database, basic SQL and data modeling skills with exposure to Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or any other databases.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent.
