SAFETY OFFICER

• Serves as Safety Officer of VCDC Projects
• Provides expertise in the field of Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Protection and Security.
• Prepares detailed HSE inputs to meet contract requirement. Reviews the contract documents for each construction package in respect of safety requirements and procedures and advises the Construction Manager of any deficiency.
• Ensures project execution in compliance with objections for HSE as set out in the HSE plan and associated documents.
• Assists in generating procedures and standards to maintain and update the Health, Safety, Environmental Protection and Security plans of the company.
• Ensures that the Contractor’s safety Training for site Laborers is regularly maintained. Ensures contractor’s laborers on site are following safety procedures and reports to Project Director in case of deficiency.
• Closely monitors site activities on a daily basis issuing non-compliance and reports where necessary and informing the Project Director/ Manager.
• Participates in weekly meetings and monthly executive meetings so as to ensure that EHS policy is implemented by Contractors. Reviews and advises the onsite Project Director/Manager, safety organizations and Key Personnel CVs as submitted by the Contractors

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

• Monitor evaluate and ensure that all work is being carried out safely;
• Implement technical and safety requirements for the project;

OTHER TASK ASSIGNED

• Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the operational unit, company, or as directed by the Project Director and/or CEO..

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Others), Nursing, Others or equivalent.
• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent.
