JOB DESCRIPTION

To lead, manage and supervise the design team in the overall management and technical activities of architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) processes with the below sub-responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee all activities relating to AEC including directing the design team, reviewing drawings, and approving design changes
  • Communicate and coordinate directly with the principals, clients, designers, engineering and construction team, and suppliers to discuss and organize projects from the concept stage through the construction
  • Present design proposals to clients according to the design brief and directions and explain project goals in clear and persuasive language
  • To create / form project teams for ongoing and incoming projects
  • Assist the design team in the generation of concepts, fresh ideas, and non-conventional design approaches and strategies from the main design direction of the Principals.
  • Supervise the design team in the overall production of architectural documents and maintain quality control reviews of project deliverables including, design presentation slides, design development and construction drawings, FF&E specifications, and necessary documents specific to the project
  • Carry out weekly internal and external meetings with the principals, design team, and outside consultants to fast-track the development of each project
  • Provide critique and feedback to the design team to help further improve quality designs and efficient workflow developments
  • Ensuring all design aspects are in compliance with respective legislation, standards, and building codes
  • To keep track of all project timelines and phases to minimize downtime
  • Perform periodic site visits and generate reports to update the Principals
  • Assess current and potential project projections by researching and analyzing associated construction technologies and contemporary design developments
  • Develop new standards, policies, and procedures for the AEC works necessary to minimize cost and maximize efficiency
  • Work long hours under pressure and perform any tasks related to work

JOB QUALIFICATION

  • License Architect or Engineer
  • With strong background in Design Mangement and Technical Activities of architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) processes.
  • With at least 5 - 10 years work experience in the position applied.
  • Willing to work at Mandaluyong City near Mega Mall.
