THE ROLE
The Procurement Assistant contributes to the success of the operations team by assisting with day-to-day aspects of buying in key areas of the business including data entry, reporting, analysis, and communication. with day-to-day tasks that support the procurement of materials and related services required by the company. This role includes corresponding with vendors, tracking the status of deliveries, and updating order records.
SCHEDULE: 7 AM – 4 PM Pacific Standard Time, follows Philippine holidays
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Keep purchasing dashboard accurate by updating delivery dates of open purchase orders in ERP
• Organize and track requests such as document requests, quotes, and product availability from Sales and R&D to ensure all are completed
• Update log of returns, damaged and rejected items
• Assist with the tracking of vendor performance KPIs
• Communicate with vendors via phone and email to send purchase orders, follow up on the status of purchase orders, and request conformance-related documents
• Identify the potential delivery problems to take proactive steps to eliminate their impact on the supply chain
• Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor or Associate degree in purchasing, business, or equivalent experience required
• Purchasing experience desired, experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Good working knowledge of ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus
• Fundamental knowledge of the MRP system required
• Experience in a multi-client environment
• Organizing and planning skills
• Have excellent proofreading skills
• Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications
• Strong organization, and excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
• Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation
• Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
