The Real Estate Consultants is responsible for an assigned book of business, including multiple clients and real estate parcels across the country. The position’s main objectives are client communication, retention, and property tax assessment reductions. The consultant will be responsible for the gathering and reviewing of annual assessments, filing, and completing property tax appeals, collecting, and reviewing annual tax bills, and reviewing reports. The ideal candidate would be responsible for meeting all appeal deadlines and internal protocols and for direct communication with their clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Research and review local and state guidelines as applicable to property tax assessments, appeals, or taxation
· Use Marshall & Swift Cost Estimator application and CoStar market website as part of the assessment review
· Read and derive information from financial statements, including but not limited to income and operating statements, occupancy, or census reports, and/or rent roll listings
· Populating appeal forms and preparation of evidence packets for appeals and hearings
· Create and conduct presentations via phone, Zoom/Teams, or in person for appeal negotiations and informal/formal hearings
· Perform internal and external communication via phone or email with clients, taxing jurisdictions, and management
· Participate in special department projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
· A Bachelor’s degree in the related field is preferred
· Confident, persuasive public speaking skills
· Proficient with written and oral communication
· Possesses organizational and time management skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe products
· Capability for critical thinking and ability to prioritize
· Able to deliver professional presentations
· Experience in a multi-client environment
· Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
· Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation
· Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
