The Network Engineer will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. He/She will monitor and maintain network performance and ensure system availability and reliability. He/She will join our technical operations team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available infrastructure that meet business objectives and SLAs. He/She will help safeguard the organization's computer networks and systems. The engineer in this role would need to be able to independently see tasks under the direction of the technical operations management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partners with members of the engineering organization to design, test, deploy and maintain scalable, robust network infrastructure
• Configures and installs various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Monitors performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Monitors system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Troubleshoots network problems and outages; schedules upgrades; collaborates with the technical operations team on network optimization.
• Works within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records
• Develops, implements and maintains policies, and procedures, for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
• Conducts research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
• Liaises with vendors and other IT personnel for network problem resolution
