The DevOps Engineer will join our technical operations team to help us design, implement, maintain, and support our technology infrastructure securely both on cloud and on-premise. He/She is responsible in designing, building, automating and ensuring stable software releases. His/Her responsibilities also include analyzing production errors to define and create tools that help mitigate problems in the system design stage and applying user-defined integrations, improving the user experience. He/She identifies changes that are necessary to maintain optimal system performance while liaising with management to successfully target and deploy solutions. The engineer in this role would need to be able to independently see tasks under the direction of the technical operations management.

Regular Tasks:

1. Automates and orchestrates workloads across multiple cloud (public/private) providers
2. Works in close coordination with the development and operations team such that the application is in line with performance according to the customer’s expectation
3. Implements automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
4. Collaborates with team members to improve the company’s engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security
5. Optimizes the company’s computing architecture
6. Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability
7. Troubleshoots production issues and coordinates with the development team to streamline code deployment
8. Develops and maintains design and troubleshooting documentation

Qualifications:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in any Computer-related course

2. 2+ years experience as a DevOps engineer or equivalent software/system engineering role

1.  Automation experience with configuration/deployment management systems such as Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible
2.  Proficient in scripting and git and git workflows
3.  Proficient in leveraging CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment
4.  Experience working in an Agile, fast-paced, DevOps environment
5.  Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies
6.  Experience with several open source technologies, containers, and orchestration
7.  Experience in network, server, and application-status monitoring
8. Experience in Linux administration
