Position Summary:

• Overall responsible for new product design and development, enhancement of existing products, research and development and control of engineering documents. Manage design engineering supervisor(s), design engineers, mechanical designers and technical staff to efficiently design customer dedicated device kits for test handlers. Responsible for defining design engineering procedures and work instructions and ensure proper execution to meet departmental goals and business objectives.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

1. Manage design engineering personnel to meet design requirements of dedicated device kits.

2. Develop and maintain reporting of departmental metrics and general activity updates for senior management.

3. Develop and implement process to optimize design cycle time.

4. Interface with key customers to determine and meet future requirements.

5. Improve infrastructure for kits, including systems for design rules and standardized design. Assess staff level experience to develop and implement training plans as needed.

6. Utilize design review results to improve design and manufacturability

7. Lead and motivate staff to meet customers’ and company’s requirements.

8. Actively develop and maintain continuous process improvement programs in design engineering operations.

9. Supervises the engineering supervisor(s), mechanical designer, technical assistant, design engineers and document controllers.

• Perform work safely and in accordance with the EHS Policy, Procedures and provisions of the Standards, and to report any work hazard (unsafe conditions or unsafe practices) that may be discover in the workplace and to make suggestion for correction or removal of the potential hazards.
• Practice the 5S and waste segregation program, and to support the activities on waste reduction, storm drain management, water and energy consumption reduction.

Qualifications:

i. Graduate of Mechanical Engineering or any relevant Engineering Courses
ii. Master's Degree Graduate are highly preferred
iii. Minimum of 10 years experience in high technology engineering field.
iv. Minimum of three years managerial experience in design.
v. Knowledge of semiconductor packaging and testing.
vi. Proficient with latest version of SolidWorks/AutoCAD
vii. Willing with Domestic and international travel.
viii. Willing to work in Calamba, Laguna
