JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Patient Recruitment and Assistance Manager is responsible for organizing activities outside the hospital, building networks to identify and refer prospective charity surgery cases to the hospital, forming partnerships with other organizations, churches, and regional and Local Government Units (LGU). The Patient Recruitment and Assistance Manager supervises field workers and consultants who are assisting in fieldwork activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES:
- Manage the patient assistance and recruitment coordinators assigned to the department, providing direction and approval for the field work activities and strategies.
- Manage the informal network of field workers who provide referrals to the hospital for potential surgeries.
- Coordinate with field consultants to develop effective strategies to identify and screen patients for potential surgeries and gain cooperation of the local government units.
- Build a community-based referral network as a means of identifying children with physical disabilities in need of surgical intervention.
- Build relationships and awareness with LGUs, churches, schools, government organizations, partner organizations and other community-based organizations.
- Coordinate with the Director of Hospital and Field Operations on deliverables, goals and projects.
- Assist with planning and execution of allowed mobile clinics and other community based events.
- Assist patients in finding and completing paperwork, arranging transportation, and solving other issues necessary for treatment at the Hospital.
- Perform patient home visits as required for recruitment, follow-up, or other purposes.
- Communicate effectively with other staff members to ensure that proper services (physical and spiritual) are provided for patients and their families.
- Prepare regular activity reports summarizing what has been accomplished
- Plan, develop and manage annual budget and expenses for fieldwork activities, transportation, and housing.
- Perform other duties as assigned to further the mission of CURE.

JOB QUALIFICATION
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, medical and behavioral sciences or related fields, preferred but not required
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in social work, nursing, or community development. Preferably with experience in a healthcare organization or NGO
- 3 to 5 years senior leadership role in the appropriate field
- Must demonstrate a sincere commitment to the mission of CURE Philippines.
- Must love people and can quickly build rapport.
- Willingness to spend significant portion of time out of the office meeting partners, supporting patients and building awareness about the services offered by the Hospital.
- Licensed driver (required)
