A local property management company is looking to expand with the help of an outgoing Leasing Specialist who is detail-oriented and enjoys completing tasks thoroughly. If you’re the type of person who organizes their closet by color, makes lists for their lists, and has a deep desire to organize anything and everything, then this job is perfect for you. As a Leasing Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, assisting them throughout and coordinating the successful completion of the application process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
> Respond to all leads received within 24 hours of receiving an inquiry
> Lease all vacant units within a territory of properties
> Conduct property tours and sell features and benefits of available homes and
community
> amenities to prospective residents
> Perform background checks, credit checks, and all other pre-lease qualifying
information within 24 hours of receipt of application
> Follow up with all applicants about their application status and notify if it was approved
or denied
> Input data entry to communicate with team members on the status of vacant units
> Explain all lease terms to residents and execute leasing contract
> Input financial information for the leasing contract and coordinate with the resident
specialist to ensure accuracy
> Manage multiple leasing email aliases for the company and direct messages to the
appropriate respondent
> Verify accuracy on move-in checklists
> Handle seasonal data auditing to ensure accuracy within company systems and
software
> Answer phone calls to the office and respond to all voicemails
> Market available properties, update descriptions, pricing, and photos as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
> Bachelor’s degree in the related field preferred
> Experience in a multi-client environment
> Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications
> Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
> Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
> Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation
> Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
