POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides technical assistance in developing quality products and materials that meet intended specifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Validates existing raw materials from alternative suppliers through product stability and compatibility studies.
• Performs physical and chemical analyses of raw material using current pharmacopeias, established material specification, associated wet chemistry, and instrumental techniques as appropriate.
• Assists in continuous improvement of packaging materials through cost and cycle time optimization.
• Help develop working prototypes of new products that meet intended specifications and ensure quality and integrity using stability and compatibility testing, sensorial evaluation, safety, and efficacy testing.
• Practices proper document management through systematic filing and updating Research Institute File.
• Generate analytical reports to reflect overall performance.

EDUCATION & TRAINING: BS Chemistry, BS Chemical Engineering, BS Pharmacy or any other allied courses, PRC License in and advantage.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: At least one year of experience in product development from a cosmetic or pharmaceutical company. Preferably with experience in production processes.

SKILL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

Can work with minimal supervision

Good working knowledge of specialty chemicals and actives

Computer literate
