DEVOPS ENGINEER
Job description
- Install, configure and maintain servers in a mixed Linux environment;
- Maintain/monitor the health of the Linux servers through both automated and manual processes;
- Responsible for the configuration, troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of all Linux systems (hardware and software) including Production, QA, and Development server environments.
- Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together. Ability to identify and troubleshoot hardware components that are problematic;
- Works with application developers to automate and accelerate the testing, release, and deployment of applications into a runtime environment quickly and reliably;
- Coordinates testing, upgrades, and configuration of system files and services;
- The candidate will be expected to identify opportunities for improving system quality and for suggesting improvements to processes and tools.
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in Linux system management, setup, configuration, hardening, backup, and recovery; (Debian,Ubuntu)
- Very strong problem-solving skills, with proven ability to analyze and determine root cause and resolution for complex problems;
- Experience to support bare-metal servers networks hardware and Virtualization and Cloud platforms;
- Familiarity with various network protocols, firewall management, and database administration;
- Working knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes, Nginx/PHP, MySQL/MongoDB/Redis, NGINX, APACHE related software, VMWare/Proxmox, Ceph, Gluster, HA;
- Knowledge of using an IT automation suite (e.g. Gitlab CI/CD, Ansible, etc) to implement business solutions; • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The role requires interaction
