JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Business Analyst, you will be an integral member of a global team, involved in a number of system implementation and improvement activities to support our benefits offerings including the following activities:

 

• Gathering requirements for our proprietary Benefits Engine and Benefits Insights system, to support BAU activities for implementations and renewals and future enhancements of the tools.

• Ensures that the activity is coordinated with the local project teams and configurations team to bridge the existing gaps between the local expertise and technical capabilities within the system

• Performing gap analysis between existing configuration standards and new functionality through release notes to identify impacted areas and implications

• Coordinating with the Product Team and local business team on testing and releasing new functionality

• Troubleshooting and maintenance of the core modules, providing guidance to H&B NNA Benefits Engine system administration team members handling administration and upkeep for the system

 

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have excellent data skills, with the ability to translate business needs into system requirements. The candidate needs strong communication skills and ability to converse effectively with stakeholders. The candidate should be able to understand and explain the impact of technical decisions on end user experience, understand the system and its possibilities.

Key Activities

• Actively participate and engage in the expansion of all Benefits Engine and Benefits Insights modules, which includes the following –

• Gather requirements from the business and convert them into technical requirements documentation for the configurations teams and admin teams to implement each client and support them ongoing

• Perform gap analysis to identify system development and configuration needs

• Work with the development team to explain and test the requirements

• Continue to stay up to speed with global Benefits Engine Roadmap and related system enhancements

• Identify areas for improvement to evolve the H&B NNA Benefits Engine instance

• Ensure our Benefits Engine, Benefits Insights modules continue to evolve side by side with the above

• Support teams for ongoing usage and maintenance of the above

• Review and analyze Client & Policy Data, Project Engine configuration for improvements and respond to business needs by enhancing functionality through configuration and requesting development

• Review and analyze Benefits Insights data requirements, submitting enhancement requests as needed and supporting the launch and maintenance

• Review and analyze key file structures (census data, financial data, analytics), scrubbing parameters, and help configure appropriate intake templates for implementation of the Benefits Engine Data Module

• Actively participate in the data collection planning and preparation process

• Work directly with brokers on requirements gathering for system configuration

• Support system configuration by bridging the gap between the Config Team’s technical expertise and the local needs

• Participate in testing for any development work, review work of other colleagues for data requirements and system configuration

• Ensure appropriate governance and work quality processes are followed on all work carried out

• Works with the configuration analyst and ensures that the configured solutions and other deliverables satisfy the business requirements of our clients.

• Support system configuration and administration team in reviewing and analyzing issues or opportunities

• Provide detailed documentation on system enhancements and functionalities, ensuring that these are transitioned to the responsible teams

• Conduct trainings and handover sessions upon successful delivery of system enhancements

JOB QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related area.

• 4+ years’ experience working as a business analyst preferably with data management systems background

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience or training in web-based applications and tools.

• Experience with test plan creation, testing procedures and test plan execution is an advantage.

• Experience in the Financials, Human Resources or Benefits domain areas is preferred, but not required.

• Proven experience successfully balancing multiple projects, working with tight deadlines and producing quality deliverables on time

• Ability to work on "virtual" teams with members from different geographic areas.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Self-starter attitude and ability to work within ambiguity

• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem solving skills are essential. A proven track record of accomplishments and academic achievement are equally important. Strong interpersonal and team skills

• Proficiency in English (speaking + written) required
