As a Sofrware Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for the planning, preparation, execution and reporting of Quality Assurance activities associated with New Features for our award-winning web portal and other customer-facing web-based products, including applications targeted for mobile devices in addition to traditional sofftware applications. The range and scope of this position will focus on the automated testing of new web-based and traditional applications and services as well as regression testing and maintenance practices.

• Focus on test planning, test execution, requirements gathering, automated and manual testing, test closure reporting and investigative analysis of defects

• Test Phases: Feature End-to-End Testing, Regression Testing, UAT Testing

• Planning, designing, developing, executing, and maintaining software test automation for the Web based software solution

• Responsible for upkeep and design of the System-level automation tests

• Perform other testing as necessary including but not limited to performance, security and accessibility

• Assist in recommending and developing test tools for the team

• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the quality methodology to sustain and enhance ongoing product quality

• Provide estimate of effort to help create and track schedules

• Collaborate with other development teams to ensure that automation activities provide the highest benefits

• Knowledgeable at Software Engineer level, or equivalent experience in the software testing field working as a Software Engineer in Test, Automation Engineer, or in a Performance Testing role

• Expert-level knowledge of at least one Automated Testing Tool (i.e. Selenium, UFT, Test Complete), Automation Framework (i.e. FitNesse, Cucumber, Spock, TestNG, JUnit, NUnit), and Version Control System (i.e. GIT, SVN, Microsoft VSTS)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; Advanced degree preferred

• 4+ years prior hands-on experience in automated quality assurance / testing (APIs, Web)

• Effective communication and documentation skills required

• Experience with principles of ALM and software development methodologies preferred

• Experience with multiple testing automation tools and frameworks preferred

• Experience in employee benefits, insurance, healthcare, or wealth management preferred

• Certifications or professional training in software engineering principles such as test automation and agile development methodologies desired
