The Role
As a Benefits Engine Data Management Analyst within H&B NA, you will be an integral member of the NA team, involved in a number of data implementation activities to support our benefits offerings including the following activities:
• Collecting, scrubbing, validating and loading data into the Benefits Engine system
• Providing input to requirements for inbound and outbound data feeds, setting data scrubbing parameters, and building data validations to test the data quality
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of the data structure for the core modules, providing guidance to H&B NA Benefits Engine system administration team members handling administration and upkeep for the system
• Coordinating with the implementations team project managers and local business team on timing, implementations, and requirements gathering for the successful implementation of Benefits Engine across H&B NA
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have excellent data skills, understand data structures. They should have the ability to manipulate data from multiple sources and understand data quality concepts. The data management analyst will need to be able to work effectively within a team and be able to explain data concepts to others, work with technical team members as needed.

Key Activities
• Collect, scrub and load H&B NA data to support the expanded use of Benefits Engine
• Identify and implement the data quality review processes and identify the key data points for audit; identify and manage remediation for data quality issues
• Support Benefits Engine configuration work and development testing as needed;
• Review and analyze Benefits Insights data requirements, collecting and loading data as needed and supporting the launch and maintenance
• Review and analyze key file structures for the Data Module (census data, financial data, analytics)
• Actively participate in the data collection planning and preparation process
• Work directly with brokers on requirements gathering for system configuration
• Perform system configuration
• Participate in testing for any development work, review work of other colleagues for data requirements and system configuration
• Ensure appropriate governance and work quality processes are followed on all work carried out
• Support system administration team in reviewing and analyzing issues or opportunities
• Participate in the data collection planning and preparation process
• Work directly with brokers or consultants on requirements gathering for system configuration
• Perform system configuration

2-4 years’ experience with data management required, such as a business analyst or data analyst role
• Experience working in the health benefits industry preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools
• Collaboration with a global team, including taking accountability for quality on-time delivery of work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter attitude and ability to work within ambiguity
• Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
• Strong analytical and creative skills
• Strong client relationship, interpersonal and team skills
• Proficiency in English (speaking + written) required
