COMPANY OVERVIEW

Sunjin is one of the major companies under the Harim Big 6+1 Group, which is actively engaged in seven areas such as grain, shipping, feed, livestock, processing, food manufacturing and distribution. Harim Big 6+1 means 6 domestic major companies and 1 overseas company: Pan Ocean, Jeil Feed, Harim, Sunjin, Farmsco, NS Home Shopping and Allen Harim Foods in USA.

Since its humble beginnings as a hog breeder company in 1973, Sunjin has grown steadily, with the mission of creating and serving value added products and services to its customers. Sunjin has 14 feed factories located in Korea, Philippines, China, Vietnam, Myanmar and India.

Aiming to extend its commitment beyond the Korean livestock industry, Sunjin Philippines Corporation was established in 1997 with its first plant located in Norzagaray, Bulacan. Sunjin’s vision is to help the Philippine livestock farmers become more competitive in terms of productivity and efficiency. It believes that no company can grow without contributing to the advancement of the Filipino farmer. The commercial operations started on July 10, 1998.

Sunjin Philippines Corp. serves the entire island of Luzon. In September 2013, it penetrated the Vizayas region and some parts of Mindanao such as the provinces of South Cotabato and Davao Del Sur.

In March 2005, SJP invested in Sunjin Genetics Corporation, a 1,000-sow level farm located in Antipolo City, east of Metro Manila.
The second state-of-the-art feedmill, Sunjin Philippines Corp.– Batangas Plant, was inaugurated in Malvar, Batangas in November 2014, and became operational in the same month.

In May 2017, it continued its expansion with a 2,400-sow level swine farm project that broke ground at Sitio Diliman, Partida, Norzagaray, Bulacan. It is slated to start operations in December 2018.
