JOB DESCRIPTION
THE ROLE
As a Jr. Web Developer, you are responsible for keeping the company’s marketing website looking fresh and built with the latest SEO, a mobile-first design, and modern platform technology. You will also be responsible for maintaining integrations within the website including forms, tagging, and improving website performance as well as ensuring it is always up and running.
JOB QUALIFICATION
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
> Develop HTML landing pages and website content including text, graphics development, video, and interactive features delivering pixel-perfect code from design deliverables
> Manage the configuration, development, and ongoing maintenance of the DOXA and its affiliate websites (doxa7.com, davidnilssen.com) using WordPress on behalf of the digital marketing team
> Collaborate with the digital marketing team on A/B and multivariate test campaign landing pages
> Partner with IT, sales, and marketing to ensure the lead flow process on doxa7.com has full system integration with backend systems such as SharpSpring and FINN ensuring all solutions are aligned to the sales automation objectives and backend operations
> Develop and enhance strategic business partnerships by providing guidance to business partners on effective content management and search engine optimization techniques and ensuring linkage to tracking and analytic systems.
> Research, evaluate, and analyze technical and design requirements
> Prepare and present draft proposals regarding content, security, features, and standards, and create new approaches for the use of web technology
> Understand requirements, set priorities, and manage deliverables while managing communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
> Maintain site speed on an ongoing basis to adhere to web minimum standards
> Address any business connections that negatively impact business standards
> Maintain updated knowledge of internet tools, trends, and developments
> Partner with DOXA’s IT, product, and engineering teams to create better alignment and collaboration for a seamless client/ partner/ team experience
QUALIFICATIONS
> Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Computer Science, Programming, and/or Marketing Technology
> One to three years of related experience
> In-depth knowledge and experience with standard design software including Adobe tools and Canva
> Ability to rapidly prototype page and web content
> Strong understanding of site performance
> Video production and editing skills a plus
> Formal training in standard programming languages
> In-depth knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and mobile frameworks and support
> Expertise in interaction design, usability, and information architecture required
> Knowledge in PHP, Shared Server Hosting, Zapier, and Webhooks, GitHub, Jekyll, Azure, GA/GA4, Elementor page builder within WordPress is a bonus
> Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
> Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
> Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation
> Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
