The Network Engineer assists in the installation and maintenance of network communications. They will configure various network devices and services in existing and new locations. The Network Engineer will be first in line for troubleshooting network issues within established guidelines and escalating to higher levels of support and technology partners as necessary to resolve an issue. Depending on demonstrated skill and aptitude, the engineer I may assist with network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies. Must have a strong knowledge of Internet, computer, routers, switches, firewall, etc.

• Knowledge of the ITIL framework & philosophies including Incident, Problem, & Change
• Familiar or experience with SD-WAN concepts, technologies, and practices
• Experience with SIP, VoIP, and securing voice traffic across networks
• Experience working with connectivity to cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, and Google and colocation facilities.
• Familiar with cloud based corporate phone services
• Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and apply them to the business environment
• Ability to read and interpret documents, instructions and information
• Ability to speak effectively to groups courteously and tactfully in person, on phone, etc. about technical or complex issues
• Ability to analyze/interpret and solve problems with moderate supervision
• Ability to make decisions in concert with policies, procedures, objectives and philosophies of the company is essential
• Required to travel up to 25% of the time by automobile or airplane both domestically and internationally

• Undergraduate degree preferred in an IT discipline such as Networking, Network telecommunications, Computer Science
• One or more years’ experience in a network engineer role or network administrator role
• Require at least one of the following certifications: CompTIA Network+ (Preferred), CCNA Routing & Switching, JNCIA-Junos
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
• Maintain a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking, layer 2 switching, spanning tree, data security, DNS, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, and Email Routing
