Provides the needed technical assistance in diagnosing non- or malfunctioning parts of all types of equipment used by the company, particularly heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach stackers, and trucks.
Actively participates in the assessment, evaluation, and recommendation on the need to purchase and replace of equipment parts.
Assists in the review, modification, and approval of equipment spare parts to be purchased.
Assists in the supervision of the engineering personnel, specifically the mechanics, electricians, technicians, and the general maintenance team involved in the restoration, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment and the construction and repair of company facilities.
Oversees and ensures the achievement of quality and technical accuracy in all repair and maintenance work.
Leads in the planning, acquisition and inventory of all cargo handling gears and the close supervision of personnel involved in gears’ issuance, retrieval, safekeeping, storage and after-use care.
Closely works with Supervising Engineer in the formulation of administrative policies, procedures and standards which can improve the engineering division’s management and operations.
Oversees the research and development of equipment of equipment maintenance and procedures.
Performs other functions as may be assigned by superiors.
Engaged in the business of port terminal management operations including cargo handling, passenger, roll-on/roll-off and other port terminal related services.
