JOB DESCRIPTION

Accounting Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant
  • Exceptional ability to identify future business opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Preferably with 10 years’ experience as an Accounting Manager
  • With experience in business analysis or a related field
  • Experience in Management, Accounting, or a related field may be preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, finance and management principle.
  • Proficiency with computers, especially in accounting software and MS Office.
  • High level of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
  • With experience as an accounting shared services.

 

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing financial reports and provide advice to Top Management that will improve accounting/finance business performance.
  • Coordinate and collaborate to other departments in developing strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
  • Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
  • Lead in quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
  • Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.
  • Keeping informed about the latest developments in the finance industry.
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
  • Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
  • Hiring, training, and motivating accounting staff members while supervising and delegating department tasks.
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
