Accounting Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Preferably a Certified Public Accountant
- Exceptional ability to identify future business opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Preferably with 10 years’ experience as an Accounting Manager
- With experience in business analysis or a related field
- Experience in Management, Accounting, or a related field may be preferred.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting, finance and management principle.
- Proficiency with computers, especially in accounting software and MS Office.
- High level of efficiency and accuracy.
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
- With experience as an accounting shared services.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Analyzing financial reports and provide advice to Top Management that will improve accounting/finance business performance.
- Coordinate and collaborate to other departments in developing strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
- Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders.
- Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
- Lead in quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.
- Keeping informed about the latest developments in the finance industry.
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
- Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
- Hiring, training, and motivating accounting staff members while supervising and delegating department tasks.
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
