JOB DESCRIPTION
- Oversees day-to-day operations of the team
- Reports financial information (budget, financial performance, forecasts, and variance analysis) to the Management Committee, the Board other stakeholders
- Leads the budget planning process, monitors the overall budget and its utilization and responsible for cost control
- Responsible for tax compliance and optimization
- Ensures that the Company has adequate cash to meet the obligations.
- Coordinates with parent company on the funding requirements and assists with borrowing and financial plans, if any.
- Drives working capital optimization initiatives
- Helps the President with the enterprise risk management by identifying operational and financial risk areas, stablishing materiality level, assessing the Company’s risk appetite, and developing risk management programs (e.g., insurance, business continuity).
- Manages and maintains relationship with third party service providers and business partners such as banks and other collecting agents
- Oversees the IT operations (infrastructure and applications) and ensures that the general IT controls are in place
- Monitors key performance and financial indicators
- Recommends and maintains policy and procedures within the areas of responsibility.
- Helps establish internal controls, including delegation of authority affecting the financials of the Company, and monitors its effectiveness
- Provides professional advice in other areas of operations in relation to processes and internal controls.
- Ensures that processes are compliant with Company policies and regulations
- Ensures that a document management process is in place and that the Company is compliant with the minimum requirement for document retention (physical and electronic)
- Provides support and guidance to the whole team
