JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Facilitates the CES test to initially gauge the theoretical knowledge of applicants and assists in the interview of applicants and seafarers for promotion.
2. Conducts background checks to verify the veracity of the information given by applicants.
3. Checks and confirms Fleet Departments’ proposed lineups.
4. Prepare monthly CES, PDOS, and APAT reports.
5. Keeps the records of PDOS/APAT Attendance log sheets.
6. Keeps records of memos and circulars from Principals, Flag States and other government agencies.
7. Assists in the briefing/debriefing of the seafarers.
8. Acts as the first layer in checking the veracity of contracts and important papers of seafarers prior to forwarding these to the Legal Department for final checking.
9. Other duties that may be assigned by the Head of Port Department, Head of Support Services Department and President & CEO.
II. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains the database of the attendees of Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) and Anti-Piracy Awareness Training (APAT).
2. Assists in the preparation of facility and materials needed for PDOS and APAT.
3. Issues PDOS and Anti-Piracy training certificates of seafarers to their respective Fleets.
