JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement processes and practices to establish efficiencies, controls and optimum use of resources.
- Establish fortification or enrichment of new and existing products
- Lead initiatives and programs on continuous improvement and business sustainability
- Conduct product trials and research development activities to come up with new product offerings of the company and reformulation to existing products if necessary
- Conduct raw material ingredient evaluations for quality and cost effectiveness
- Issues initial Batch Master Reference (BMR for production run of newly developed or improved products)
- Performs shelf-life study for new developed products and/or existing products for validation
- Trouble shooting of customer complaints related to product formulation
- Provide technical support in product development, pre-production trials and product launches
- Provide sensory training to QA and production personnel
- Work hand in hand and provide technical support/assistance to QA, Sales team and customers
Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
- At least 3 years work experience in similar roles
- Food Technologist, Chemist or Nutritionist is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills
- People management skills
- Customer service skills
- Thorough understanding of FDA regulations
- Ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly and completely
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with senior management
