Duties & Tasks Performed:

• Receive and process purchase requests, select appropriate suppliers from the Approved List of Supplier and convert PR to PO.
• Source out alternative materials that best fit in Inex requirement and request for quotation to the selected suppliers
• Prepare canvassing/ bidding that satisfies and meet end user’s requirement and ensure that the purchase orders are reviewed thoroughly.
• Analyse price proposals, lead time / availability of items, payment and negotiate offered terms.
• Perform follow – up’s and expediting of purchase orders and maintain complete status of purchase orders.
• Maintain and review records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, product, performance, and inventories
• Source out reliable new supplier that can support the needs of the company.
• Responsible for supplier management, contract and communications and schedule supplier visit, audit, evaluate, approve and monitor supplier performance.
• Provide supplier / vendor information sheet and ensure completion of documents.
• Responsible in demonstrating integrity in business dealings with people and organization and shall operate consistent to its highest ethical standards.
• Perform works safely, report any hazards, unsafe work conditions and practices that may discover in the workplace and make suggestion to correct and/or remove the potential hazards.
• Assist purchasing staff if need arises.

Job Specifications or Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or any related field
• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in the relevant management software programs (ERP system)
• Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
