JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
- Manages the network and server infrastructure of the Company. The primary duties are the security of the company’s computer systems and electronic data, development and implementation of customized systems and overseeing all computer-related activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Stays up-to-date with information technology advances and manufacturing industry’s best practices.
- Supervises daily operations of network, exact system and server infrastructure of the company. Tests, troubleshoots and adjusts information systems to operate effectively.
- Managing IT budgets and enforcing cost-effectiveness.
- Responsible for overseeing and managing company’s information technology projects.
- Coordinates project phases from development to installation.
- Oversees all phases of projects from conception to completion.
- Ensures project is completed within budget and on time.
- Act as a liaison between clients, vendors and consultants.
- Assists with upgrading of information security, implementing security of the network, data and its storage and communication systems.
- Develop annual preventive maintenance plan.
- Evaluates risks, develops network recovery and back-up processes.
- Develop security standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms.
- Performs any of the following technical skills as the need arises:
- Ensures that all IT-related devises are running and functional:
- Workstations
- Printers
- Network: LAN – Local Area Network; WAN – Wide Area Network
- VoIP Telephone Systems and Telephones (landlines & handheld mobile devices)
- Must maintain guidelines on hardware maintenance related to the above-mentioned.
- Communicate with suppliers with regards to basic hardware problem-solving and other related needs.
- Assists in daily back-up procedure.
- EXACT System (ERP System) Related Tasks:
- Must be able to comprehend data continuity in EXACT System.
- Must be able to detect any signs of problems that is about to occur.
- Must have sense of urgency in any situation.
- Ensures that all inquiries from users are properly addressed in the fastest time.
- Ensures that user manual and access list is up-to-date.
- Communications:
- Ensure that all communications are working (internet, Wifi, email systems, inter-office connections, land lines, mobile phones)
- Must maintain a user guide and an escalation list with regards to troubleshooting and reporting to Telco’s help desk.
- Monitoring of Daily/Weekly Reports from IT Staff
- Daily: Daily Activity Report
- Weekly: Summary of Repairs; Hardware Updates & Reports
- Assures that IT activities are within the limits of applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
Job Qualifications:
- Preferably graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or Computer Science, Computer Engineering or the equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in IT Manager role in a manufacturing industry set-up.
- Extensive knowledge of information processing.
- Experience coordinating installations, upgrades and maintenance.
- Ability to identify software and hardware needs.
- Knowledge of design processes and performance reports of operating systems.
- Ability to work well and engage with remote team.
- Ability to assess and train new IT staff, supervise and motivate team members for high performance.
- Possess a good relationship-building with clients and teammates alike.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present information clearly.
- Manage time well to deliver on all deadlines.
- Experience in an ISO, EMS and QMS certified company.
