5+ years of relevant experience in data governance, analytics, business intelligence, and data analysis
5 years of relevant experience in consulting, banking, or finance
Background and knowledge in Database/Querying languages: SQL, Hive, SAS
Programming languages: Python, R, Bash
Data visualization: Tableau, QlikSense, or PowerBI
Responsibilities:
Leads the Data Management and Controls Unit under the Decision Science and Management Department
Designs and implements the data management and controls roadmap by ensuring that resources, capability, and technology are in accordance with the company’s strategy and business opportunities
Supports the MIS, Campaigns, Data Science, and Analytics units within DSM by providing data solutions and documentation relating to Data Management, Engineering, and Governance
Designs, formalizes, and implements data management and governance practices
Conducts project and script reviews to evaluate code accuracy and efficiency
Reviews the proposals of solutions and data architects, especially in the set-up of an on-premises data lake and the server architecture
Identifies requirements for the data lake project, especially on data storage, capacity, computational specs, and high availability/data redundancy set-up
Supports the Technology and Risk team in ensuring that DSM servers, applications, and systems meet policies and regulatory requirements
Guides resources in the prioritization of key deliverables and manages stakeholder expectations.
Collaborates with vendors, partners, and regional counterparts to share best practices as well as implement joint initiatives
Supports and mentors the DCORO in the timely implementation and execution of action items relating to the RCSA, CET, CIMs, and IRs
Recommends and drives the implementation of best practices so that DSM solutions have the appropriate controls to manage operational risk
Represents the DSM team in engagements AML, Compliance, Risk, and Audit, and collaborates within the DSM team so that such engagements are brought to closure.
