Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for all finance and accounting activities in the company. You will work with the outsourced accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

As the company grows, you will be responsible to bring the outsourced accounting service in-house, setting up processes and systems, and developing and managing your own team.

You will also be expected to be a key player in supporting the CEO on strategic partnerships and any M&A activities.

Job Description

• Work with outsourced accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of actual monthly results, the annual audit is completed in time and company is properly insured for business risks.
• Work with outsourced human resource team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of actual monthly manpower results and company employees are properly insured according to regulations.
• Responsible for preparing financial analyses, projections, reports and presentations to specific timelines.
• Drive the Annual Budgeting and Monthly Forecasting process including leading a bottom up forecasting process.
• Responsible for working closely with project managers to ensure that all budgeting, scheduling and coordination processes run smoothly. Monitor the progress of a project to ensure that it is working within the confines of set deadlines and budget limitations via Project Tracker files.
• Support budgeting activity by providing cost estimates related to “project indirect cost” – for example: insurance, financing, cost of support functions etc.
• Provide strategic thought leadership and analysis that identify meaningful trends and opportunities across the business.
• Build out, analyze, and communicate results of strategic initiatives and articulate impact to overall business based on performance.
• Help to operationalize and build out ROI analysis for strategic deals and marketing investment working collaboratively with Business stakeholders
• Maintain and update as appropriate the various approval matrixes in the company processes and systems.
• Develop and maintain external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, lawyers, bankers, board of directors and statutory organisations.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting or ACCA
• Those with CPA/CA will be added advantage
• Minimum of 5-8 years relevant experience in an analytical and/or planning role in Engineering or Technology industries.
• Prior experience of Business Financial Analysis.
• Business Acumen. Knowledgeable of functional elements which are important for business profitability in order to influence, drive and positively impact business result.
• Worked in companies undergoing rapid growth and/or significant improvement programmes
• An interest in developing best practice knowledge and skills within own field of responsibility.
