POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for materials acquisition of electrical, mechanical, & civil works project management, which includes tasks that are not limited to; evaluating of Bill of Quantity and Bill of Materials, as well as sourcing and evaluating of suppliers & sub-contractors according to its price and quality appropriate with the project requirements.
ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING:
- Reports to Purchasing Supervisor and Purchasing Manager
- Coordinates with personnel of requesting department, and other purchasing staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs sourcing of suppliers and service providers which will provide best quality products and services, best price, and favorable contract terms.
- Evaluates requirements based on Bill of Materials and Bill of Quantity.
- Establish competition among contractors and suppliers which will ultimately provide quality consistency and cost efficiency.
- Conducts supplier accreditation which includes supplier background check, plant visit, and performance evaluation.
- Negotiates for the price, terms of payment, and other conditions of the contract.
- Ensures compliance to Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
- Prepares and serves suppliers’ contract and Purchase Order with terms and conditions favorable to FMIDC.
- Evaluates and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine need for changes.
- Maintains good records and controls which provide an audit trail and assure efficiency and honesty.
- Works cross functionally with requesting departments and achieve high degree of cooperation and coordination.
- Communicates openly with the requestor regarding status update of requisition and Purchase Order, or Work Order.
- Studies history of acquisition of the required items or project and recommend possible improvement to achieve cost efficiency.
- Discuss with requestor and suppliers/contractors re: defective items or services and determine corrective actions.
- Submits the required reports.
- Attends meetings, trade shows, conferences, conventions, and seminars to network with people in other supply chain organizations.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial / Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / or Electronics and Communications engineering.
- With at least 2 years of work experience in civil, electrical, mechanical and project management works.
- Amenable to work in Mandaluyong City.
