Qualifications:

• You must be a graduate of BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification is a Plus
• 3 years plus proven experience as an accountant preferably with an Australian accounting practice
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with accounting software, including MYOB AE, MYOB, and Xero is an advantage
• Experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation     
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Advanced MS Excel knowledge
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail and accuracy
• Skilled multi-tasker, reliable, and committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
• You should be confident, have excellent organizational skills, and the ability y to communicate clearly in both written and verbal communications

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of income tax returns for individual & business tax payers
• Preparation of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and depreciation schedules for business clients
• Processing of Xero transactions and payrolls for clients weekly
• Preparing BAS/IAS returns
• Keep company financial information confidential
• Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations
