We are focusing on augmenting our capabilities around Big-data Analytics to strengthen our Data Science team. We are seeking individuals who are smart, have passion to learn and are hungry to make a difference with strong in-depth understanding of ‘data to insights’ processes and methods. The person should be a passionate hard-core Data Scientists / Advanced Analytics professional. The individual will be a key member in Advanced Analytics team and will be driving innovation and delivery across existing and potential clients. To qualify, the candidate must have solid experience in the field of data science.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from Tier 1 Universities/colleges in Computer Science/Statistics/IT/ECE stream
MS or Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, or equivalent
Associate Manager: 5-7 years' work experience
Manager: 8-12 years’ work experience
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience with some of these methods: Regression, Decision Trees, CART, Random Forest, Boosting, Evolutionary Programming, Neural Networks, Fuzzy Systems, Bayesian Belief Networks, Support Vector Machines, Ensemble Methods, Association Rules, Singular Value Decomposition, Principal Component Analysis, Cluster Analysis
Experience in some of these applications: Collaborative Filtering, Personalization, Consumer Segmentation, NLP, Text Analytics, Information Retrieval, Search Relevance.
Familiarity with time-series analysis and implications on how to model and test
Solid data management and statistical modeling skills: R, Python (SciPy, NumPy), SQL and Excel
Experience with Big Data. Distributed computing (e.g. map/reduce) is a plus, especially Hadoop, Mahout, Pig, Hive.
Mentor team members in the area of BI and Visualization and provide guidance as necessary
Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
Good project management skills
Ability to work as a consultant
