Job Summary

Engineering manager oversees the maintenance of buildings, electrical and mechanical systems within the resort buildings. They control the installation, repair, and upkeep of their employers’ property, for systems such as elevators. Engineering managers delegate tasks to subordinates, from painting and drywall repair to more complex activities like electrical, heating and air-conditioning work. Oversees a range of custodial and maintenance activities. Resolves problems as they arise whether directly or by assembling teams to solve those issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

• Employee should follow corporate policy and operational manual

PROPER GROOMING

• Proper and complete uniforms should be worn at all times, well-ironed uniforms, proper haircut, shoes must be shine, and Identification card and nameplate are a must.

TEAM MEETING / DAILY BRIEFING/ TRAINING

• A daily or a regular meeting should be scheduled to address Engineering concerns. The agenda should be mentioned daily on the G-Drive.
• Training of policy and procedures to all Front Office staff

MONITORING OF ACCURATE REPORTS

1. Flash reports
2. Utilization of Hotelogix
3. G-drive must be updated
4. Monitoring of the following rooms reports, room status
5. Monitoring of Check list to all staff, checklist should attached in every cut off
6. Ensure that all purchases are within the budget.

RECOMMEND ENGINEERING PROCEDURE

• Review process flow and provide recommendation

SUBMISSION OF REPORTS

• Develop and implement Engineering policies that would improve the Engineering process.
• Completion of deliverables, reports, projects and task list.
• Reports must be complete with substantial information and must be submitted on time.
• CAPEX /OPEX for to be submitted to GM
• Email maximum 24 hours any incident at site( incident report )
• Achieved minimum operating standards and training set by the BOD
• Project Initiatives for Engineering improvement
• Building audit accomplishment
• Monthly material/tools inventory must be submitted end of the month
• Daily Material inventory must be submitted daily

G-DRIVE UPDATE AND OFFICIAL GROUP CHAT

• Employee must update all the G-Drive information as required daily.
• Official group chat should be answered accurately and professionally

EXCELLENCE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Although it can take extra resources, time and money, good customer service leads to customer satisfaction, which can generate positive word of mouth for your business, keep customers happy and encourage them to come back in the resort.

• Monitoring of staff performance on daily basis
• Checking rooms and common areas, including stairways, lounge areas, elevator and other resort facilities and free from hazardous materials
• Manage and organized employee schedule, training and motivating team members
• Knowledgeable of good understanding in Engineering/technical procedures and team management is required.
• Respond to guest complaints and special request must be done on timely matter.
• Compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas of the resort

BUILDING AUDIT

• Overall in-charge of monitoring department request, Incident reports, Budget and Purchases, and other Engineering concerns.
• Manage CNRS existing service facilities/contractors such as STP, water systems and tanks, disposal facilities, generators and all equipment’s.
• Implement daily routine tasks, preventive maintenance and repair requests.
• To ensure the company facilities are well cared for and adequate to support company’s business operations.
• Responsible in all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil works, aircon maintenance and other maintenance concerns.
• Provide best engineering and safety practices.
• Comply with DENR reports

REPORTS

• Assessment of staff productivity
• Building Audit monthly
• Manpower monthly schedule 2 days before end of the month.
• Completion of deliverables, reports, projects and task list.
• Monthly asset inventory
• Project initiatives for facilities improvements
• Reports must be complete with substantial and must be submit on time.
• Incident Report must be resolved and reported within 24 hours
• Incident report summary should be submitted monthly
• Flash report in the G-Drive must be updated daily.
• Ensures that staff are effective and efficient all the time
• Providing policy and procedures in maintenance based on policy of the resort
• Email response maximum 24 hours all the maintenance concerns

SAFETY AND HEALTH COMPLIANCE

• Provide safety training to all staff
• Establish a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety. 
• Support the development of OHS policies and programs
• Safety and health requirements as per DENR, DOLE, and other legal standard.
• Government compliance

• Undertake other duties and tasks that may be assigned from time to time
