JOB SUMMARY

As a Quality Engineer, you will be a key contributor to ensuring the robust quality and reliability of our innovative software products. You'll leverage your proven testing expertise and strong problem-solving skills to independently design, execute, and analyze complex test scenarios. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying, documenting, and tracking defects, ultimately delivering a seamless and high-quality user experience. 

You will play a significant role in enhancing our automated testing capabilities and collaborating closely with cross-functional development teams in a dynamic Agile environment to embed quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead Comprehensive Testing Efforts: Independently design, develop, and execute a wide range of testing methodologies, including functional, integration, system, performance, and regression testing, to thoroughly evaluate software products and identify complex issues.
• Advanced Test Case Management: Create, meticulously review, and efficiently execute detailed test cases for new features and existing functionalities. Expertly log, manage, and track identified defects using tools like Gitlab and/or Jira, providing comprehensive and clear information for efficient resolution.
• Proactive Defect Resolution & Collaboration: Take a leading role in team discussions to prioritize, troubleshoot, and drive the resolution of identified defects, ensuring timely and effective fixes. Collaborate proactively with development and product teams to understand requirements and prevent defects early in the cycle.
• Automated Testing Expertise & Expansion: Design, develop, maintain, and execute advanced automated tests for web applications using tools such as Cypress, Robot Framework, JMeter, and other relevant frameworks. Actively contribute to the strategic enhancement, expansion, and optimization of our automated test suite, aiming for increased efficiency, coverage, and stability.
• Agile Leadership & Quality Advocacy: Seamlessly integrate within an Agile development team, actively contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Champion quality assurance best practices within the team, mentoring junior engineers, and advocating for continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies, striving for greater efficiency and effectiveness within the QA function.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience in software quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on system, integration, and regression testing, utilizing both manual and advanced automated testing techniques.
• Demonstrated expertise in test automation, with hands-on experience designing and implementing automated tests using at least two of the following tools: Cypress, Robot Framework, JMeter, or similar modern automation frameworks.
• Proven experience working effectively within Agile and live operations environments, with a deep understanding of their principles and practices.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and methodical approach to identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions. Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks independently.
• Solid experience as an integral and influential member of an Agile software development team, contributing significantly to quality outcomes.

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, best practices, and the full software development lifecycle. Ability to independently prepare comprehensive test strategies, execute complex tests, and report defects with exceptional clarity and detail.
• Experience with performance testing and security testing concepts is a plus.

• Driving the improvement of our testing processes and methodologies, introducing innovative solutions and best practices.
• Mentoring associate quality engineers and acting as a subject matter expert in software quality assurance within the team.
• Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle and strategically positioning quality assurance as an integral part of every stage.
