POSITION DESCRIPTION: HR Account Officer performs a variety of duties to promote employee welfare, such as resolving human relations problems and promoting employee’s work productivity and well-being with an end goal of managing the company’s relationships with its employees. They interview workers and discuss personnel, human relations, and work-related problems that adversely affect their work productivity, morale, and health. This person also evaluates and resolves human relations, labor relations, and work-related problems, and meets with management to determine appropriate action. The HR Account Officer explains and provides advice to workers about company and governmental rules, regulations, and procedures, and need for compliance. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts Employee Orientation The HR Account Officer is responsible in conducting employee orientation to new hires. He/She shall be responsible in discussing in details the employment contract which also includes details of work – work location, work schedules, attire etc. He/She ensures that employee is given full details of work assignment, task to be assigned. Manage Employee-Employer Relationship In an ongoing capacity, HR Account Officer acts as a liaison between the client, WSI as the employer and employee, overseeing employee relations. This involves receiving and effectively handling employee work related problems, concerns and complaints, escalating these complaints to the level of disciplinary or legal action when necessary, updating employees with any changes in company policy, advising supervisors on treatment of staff and company policies, responds to employee violations of policy and generally helps to resolve conflict. Oversee Employee Exit Process HR Account Officer facilitates the layoff, firing or departure process of employees who leave voluntarily. They conduct exit interviews and administer severance, and often they assist with firing decisions and notification of termination. May be required at times to conduct house visit if employee failed to report for work. OTHERS: 1. May be given other tasks to address the current need or requirements of the company. |
Qualifications and experience HR Account Officer is empathetic individual, assertive with great interpersonal skills who are able to build relationships with their employees. They exercise good judgment and problem solving skills in order to regularly resolve conflicts. Friendly and persuasive, HR Account Officer can be trusted by both employee and employer to work as a liaison who finds solutions to both of their problems while maintaining important confidential information. Skills Excellent communication skills at all levels, including the ability to present complex matters both verbally and in report form. Good interpersonal skills including influencing and negotiating skills, displaying tact and empathy with staff and clients. Ability to work flexibly in a team setting. Ability to prioritize own workload, working to tight deadlines, under pressure and organizing own time to best advantage. Knowledgeable of Labor Laws and DO174 and its updates Computer literate |
