With Php 2500.00 capital, TSKI was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 15 and started its operations on October 1 of the same year. Engr. Jose “Tay Joe” M. Tajanlangit of Miag-ao, Iloilo organized and founded, Taytay Sa Kauswagan, Incorporated (TSKI) (previous name) as a non-stock, non-profit Christian development organization that commits to develop micro enterprises, increasing their income and creating job opportunities towards poverty alleviation as he envisioned it as a bridge to progress.
Indeed, TSKI adheres to its role as a catalyst in increasing productivity and income through business development activities. To reach this goal, TSKI provides financial assistance for livelihood and creation of jobs, conducts trainings to educate the micro-entrepreneurs on the basic skills of entrepreneurship and business management, and even implemented business diagnosis and consultancy services to guide its valued clients for their business plans and direction towards a higher level of productivity and business success.
For over thirty six (36) years of operations, TSKI has been involved in different programs that helped the poor in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Regions, Visayas Regions, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos City), Caraga and Metro Manila.
While its main thrust for social development is micro-enterprise through its individual (OKEY Loan) and group loan (PKK) programs; yet, TSKI continues to pursue other programs and services that would address poverty in the different sectors of the community.
Embarking on new strategies and strengthening the best practices are among TSKI’s goal for service efficiency to the valued micro- entrepreneurs it serve in the communities.
