JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:

 

Employee Relation

  • Involved in end-to-end process of employee discipline which includes investigation and facilitation of hearing to ensure that facts of the case and articles of violations are accurate. He/she ensures that facilitation of hearing is of quality and that there is also conceptualization of action plans based on the issues discussed. He/she ensures that there is creation of controls, checks and balances, and other resolution of causes of confusion which leads to Disciplinary actions.
  • Implementing quality interventions to improve morale, teamwork and accountability, retention, and Disciplinary Actions thus improving the Department's productivity.

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Liaise with third parties on statutory or other regulatory requirements, as well as insurance benefits.
  • Support HR policies, not limited to compensation & benefits, through design and implementation phases.
  • Lead salary and benefits surveys and benchmarking activities.
  • Ensure that the company’s HR Database is properly utilized and that employee records are up-to-date.
  • Facilitate performance management activities including performance appraisal activities across the organization.

 

Staffing

  • Proactively participate in headcount planning, support business leaders with headcount deployment.
  • Work with talent acquisition team to drive recruitment efforts that support the long-term talent needs of the business.
  • Consult with managers and leaders to reassess and define hiring needs and success profiles.

 

Organization Development

  • Provide consultation to business leaders on people and organization development.
  • Assist business leaders on organization structure adjustment, people promotion/ transfer, salary adjustment, etc.
  • Provide consultation and assistance for people issues, such as coaching in leadership, facilitate in PIP, etc.
  • Provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding HR policy and HR projects to ensure smooth implementation.

 

Developing Others

  • Leading staff meetings, conducting regular one-on-one’s, hiring, training, and development of employee performance.
  • Ensure high and consistent daily performance by providing leadership, guidance, and solutions to the team.
  • Structure and organize the team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities and set them up for success.
  • Follow guidance in annual budget planning, monitor the spending of training costs.
  • Leading the process implementation in division, provide necessary training or consultation, when necessary, audit the quality and give feedback to management team.
  • Partner with stakeholders or a leadership team to review and analyze Employee Involvement Survey results and identify priority areas for improvement, enabling managers to implement action plans to improve and sustain optimal involvement levels among colleagues.
  • Seeking continuous improvement on HR practices and operation.
  • Analyzes, maintains and communicates various HR reports, conducts HR data analysis & HR records required by top management, law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.

JOB QUALIFICATION

Experience Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years’ experience in HR function with 5 years+ of HR generalist experience in a multinational manufacturing environment. Bio-tech industry background is preferred.
  • BA/BS degree with professional experience.
  • Has a strong business focus and insight, works with business unit management as a business partner.
  • Excellent English and Chinese communication and presentation skills.
  • Decision-making skills, and ability to guide a daily junior team.
  • Detail-orientation and analytical skills, with the ability to work well with data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
