JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
Oversee and manage our organization's general services operations. The General Services Head will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing various support functions, including facility management, maintenance, security, procurement, and logistics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing general services departments, exceptional leadership abilities, and a strong focus on operational efficiency and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of general services across the organization.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of various support functions, including facility maintenance, security protocols, and procurement processes.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring adherence to quality standards and service level agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and department heads to identify and address general services needs and requirements.
- Prepare and manage the department's budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to general services management, and recommend improvements or changes as necessary.
- Oversee compliance with health, safety, and security protocols, ensuring a safe and secure working environment for employees and visitors. Handle escalated issues or emergencies related to general services operations, providing timely and effective resolutions.
JOB QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, facilities management.
- Over 2 years to 3 years experiences in managing general services or facilities management, with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing teams.
- Excellent knowledge of general services functions, including facility management, maintenance, security, and procurement.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and technology platforms used in general services management.
