Job Description
• Ensure that the company adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and permits related to the construction industry. This includes monitoring changes in legislation, updating company policies and procedures, and providing guidance to employees and management regarding legal compliance.
• Handle and manage legal disputes, claims, and litigation. Coordinate with external legal counsel, prepare legal documents, and represent the company in negotiations, mediation, arbitration, or court proceedings when necessary.
• Stay updated with relevant regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with permits, licenses, environmental regulations, health and safety requirements, and other legal obligations applicable to the construction industry.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to various departments within the company, including project management, procurement, human resources, and finance. Review and approve legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and internal policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with external legal counsel, government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations. Stay informed about industry trends and developments that may impact the company's legal landscape.

JOB QUALIFICATION

General Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree with at least minimum of 2-3 years of experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on corporate or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including contract law, corporate governance, intellectual property, and employment law.
• Experience in managing and leading a team of legal professionals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating legal risks.
• Familiarity with relevant technologies and software used in legal practice.
