In April 2010, Ellebasy Medicale Trading (EMT) was born.  The company started with just 5 basic generic lines, namely Trimetazidine 35mg, Montelukast 5 & 10mg, Cefuroxime 500mg tablets and an Omeprazole vial, serving only 6 accounts.  Mr. Aguado served as “one man-team” who acted as the salesman, purchaser, finance, and logistics person.

By 2016, 6 years after it was established, the company has grown from a simple husband and wife tandem to a composition of more than 30 employees to support its nationwide daily operations. EMT’s product lines, both exclusive and house brands, have grown to more than 200 SKUs including various generic medicines for anti-infection, central nervous system, cardiovascular agents, gastrointestinal, respiratory, genito-urinary, endocrine, vitamins, and food supplements. EMT continues to source new products to further strengthen its lineup, thereby expanding to address more health-related concerns.

EMT is now serving more than 70 accounts. While EMT has a lot of direct accounts, it also serves indirect accounts through Unipharma and Amediqo as part of a larger consortium. To ensure that EMT has partnered with Sanovis, Greencore, and Pharmaessence as part of its supplier consortium so that it can provide reliable and competitively priced generic drugs. It has also collaborated with several leading pharmaceutical importers in the country for this reason. With the expansion and growth of our key clientele, some of Ellebasy’s products have grown in market reach and distribution in major drugstore chains such as the Mercury Drug Corporation (MDC), The Generics Pharmacy (TGP) and Generika.
