Medical Services of America, Inc., (MSA), started its business of providing cardio-respiratory services in partnership with hospitals in 1978.

In November 2001, MSA has expanded its horizon and embarked into Sales, Rental and Homecare. The management feels that with the new approach, the company will be able to provide complete quality health care services to meet client’s needs.

In 2022, MSA (Philippine Branch) is now a wholly-owned subsidiary and was officially renamed to The Medical Services of America (Philippines) Inc. (MSA-PH) as part of it's restructuring.

SERVICES OFFERED BY MSA

I. CARDIO-PULMONARY SERVICES TIE-UP

In partnership with the hospitals, MSA provides the needed cardio-pulmonary equipment based on hospital set-up including well-trained Respiratory Therapist with twenty-four (24) hour coverage, seven (7) days a week. Our Respiratory Therapists perform the needed cardio-pulmonary services of patients and operate all pulmonary equipment installed by MSA in its partner hospitals.

The pulmonary services being provided by MSA are the following:

A. THERAPEUTIC SERVICES:

• Nebulization
  • via aerosol face mask set-up
  • via aerosol tracheostomy mask set-up

C. CRITICAL / EMERGENCY CARE

• Tracheobronchial suctioning / bronchial lavage

• Mechanical ventilation (Neonatal, Pediatrics, Adult)

D. EDUCATION SERVICES

• Patient and family education
• Orientation of hospital physicians, nurses and staff on the use of MSA equipment

MSA has Operating Manuals that are strictly followed by the employees to ensure the delivery of quality service. Said manuals are being reviewed regularly and enhance to capture new modalities. Copies of Operating Manuals for Cardio- Pulmonary Services and Engineering’s Repair and Maintenance Manual for all MSA’s installed equipment in the partner hospitals are given to the hospital management.

II. RENTALS OF CARDIO- PULMONARY EQUIPMENT

MSA has partnership with hospitals that need additional cardio -pulmonary equipment on top of their own. In order that hospital staff becomes well verse in operating our equipment, we provide thorough training before the start of the partnership. Regular visits are done to check the functionality of the equipment installed.

III. HOME CARE

MSA caters home care services to answer the needs of patients that can be taken cared of at home but required to have continuous life support and other medical equipment. We have cardio- pulmonary equipment for rental at home and service of Respiratory Therapists.
